No New Posts Takane Mountains

A large mountain range which stretches across all four of Yamatai's regions, cutting them off from the rest of the continent. Partially blanketed with forests, they are a valuable source of timber. There are also modest amounts of gold, silver, and copper to be found, but iron is scarce. No New Posts Aokigahara

Located in southeast Izumo, near the border with Kiiro, it forms a natural barrier. It is a vast and very dense forest, so much so that the trees block out sunlight and wind. The shadowy inner regions are mostly devoid of animals, and known to be eerily quiet. There are a few narrow, winding trails leading through the forest, but most people keep their distance. According to Yamatai mythology is it a cursed place, said to be haunted by evil spirits.
