The Kingdom of Hjallstaat

Introduction:
The Norska: Physically, the Norska are built to survive. With an average height of around six feet, with whip-cord frames they are a tough and hardy people. Eye color and hair color vary greatly by region, but generally the color brightens the further from the mountains you go. Due to the large amount of iron ore found in their holdings in the Ersingr, the Norska have a high percentage of iron weapons and armor, along with great flat-bottomed long-ships for coastal raiding.
Government and Organization:
While the High-King controls every province or hold, he cannot rule such a large territory at once, thus he has the Jarls. Each Jarl is an autonomous ruler of his Hold, with the power to rule it as he sees fit, so long as he pays his taxes and levies the requested amount of men to the High-King every year. If he does not, he is likely to be branded a rebel and swiftly conquered by his neighbors. Below the Jarls are the Thanes, who are appointed by the Jarls as bodyguards and commanders, sometimes gifted with small amounts of land.
Note: Whoever takes the High King of Hjallstaat will be able to put far more detail into this, and mold it to his liking. This is just currently a basic outline, and it is the High King's and the Jarl's initiative that will detail and flesh out this region more and more.
